• Leading and coordinating function’s privacy activities, which include implementation and adherence to corporate policies in privacy, security, and confidentiality
• Participating in the development of corporate-wide privacy and data protection principles, policies and practices as well as their implementation within the Corporate Human Resources function.
• Supporting the Corporate Human Resources and the Philips Head of Risk Management and Compliance with all privacy matters globally that affect Philips related to Corporate Human Resources.
• all privacy-related activities, [signaling] and performing Privacy Impact Assessments, interpreting and applying the Philips Privacy Rules compliance framework and providing general privacy-related support to the Corporate Human Resources Function.
• Develop and maintain strategic infrastructure to ensure compliance applicable Privacy and Data Protection laws and Philips Binding Corporate Rules within Corporate Human Resources function
• Provide support to other Global Privacy Officers on compliance of any vendor relationship with applicable Privacy and Data Protection laws and Philips Binding Corporate Rules
• Perform and/or manage Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) on systems or processes that process personal data, including mitigation plans, follow-up actions and risk reporting
• Assist Corporate Human Resources function in implementing privacy and data protection requirements throughout the lifecycle of internal system development and usage, including Privacy by Design architecture
• Collaborate with other Privacy Officers and lawyers within Philips on Philips wide projects such as implementation of Binding Corporate Rules
• Monitor ongoing activities within Corporate Human Resources related to the processing of Personal Data including appropriate assurance of the availability, integrity and confidentiality of consumer, (potential) customer, employee and Corporate Human Resources information in compliance with Philips privacy policies and procedures in close collaboration with IT staff and Information Security Officers.
• Assist in development and implementation of privacy awareness and training activities for staff within Corporate Human Resources.
• Lead/Support Incident, Event and Complaint management in privacy issues within Corporate Human Resources
• Work with Corporate Privacy compliance - Legal to address privacy elements within Corporate Human Resources/vendor contracts
• Work Cross functionally with multi-discipline groups on privacy matters, to monitor laws, regulations, and our contracts associated with the management and control of personal data.
• Participate in the review and improvement of existing internal policies and processes as related to and affected by privacy-related law, regulation, contractual obligation, group policies, ethics and industry best practices.

Functiecriteria

• Philips is looking for a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic data privacy specialist who has a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within a legal or compliance role in the field of data privacy.
• A Bachelor’s degree and experience in a variety of data privacy matters is a prerequisite. Certified International Privacy Professional Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Working as a privacy specialist within Philips offers you the opportunity to perform high-level work on a wide variety of data privacy matters and values teamwork and commitment.

• You are able and willing to take rational but bold decisions under time pressure.
• You are comfortable with complicated matters and able to work independently.
• As you will be working closely together with colleagues from all parts of Philips, as well as with Philips in-house lawyers, external counsel, economists and regulators, excellent client management and communication skills in English is necessary. Ability to speak communicate in Dutch is a plus.
